Hi, I'm Amanda Leicester. I was born in Warrington Cheshire and have lived there most of my life. I believe that Grid Club has the potential to enhance the lives of all of its young members. As a teacher, I have taught in a variety of situations and have seen that the needs of children vary greatly. I believe that Grid Club can be an enjoyable and inspirational place for everyone.
Personally, when I'm not watching films, taking digital photographs, going to concerts or cooking for friends, I love watching football as I'm an avid fan of Liverpool FC.
I just love visiting new places. I try to get away a few times every year for weekends. My only problem is I hate flying, it makes me a nervous wreck. My friends have difficulty sitting with me on planes as I begin to make them nervous as well.
I also really enjoy camping and walking. This must stem from being very young when the whole family including my Auntie, my Uncle, my cousin and our dogs used to go on this type of holiday. I made my first attempt at climbing Mt. Snowdon was when I was only about 4 years old. Needless to say, I didn't get too far before I got tired. Still, I think my Mum was glad to have a reason to stop.
